Geoscientist with a demonstrated history of working in the mining & metals industry. Skilled in Mineral Exploration, Copper, Zinc, Nickel, and Exploration Management. Strong professional with a BSc Hons focused in Geophysics from University of Tasmania. Currently working as a founding director of Solve Geosolutions, a data science consultancy based in Melbourne focused on providing state of the art analytical solutions to clients in the resources industry.

Recently, Solve has formed a JV Venture called DataRock, specialising in computer vision for geological applications in mining and exploration.

Michelle is a global leader of technical innovation within the mining industry. Throughout her career she has spent 20 years in senior roles for companies including BHP, WMC and ioGlobal. Over the last 8 years Michelle has held several senior leadership positions within IMDEX, leading the successful development of both hardware and software products. With a PhD in geochemistry, Michelle worked in the innovative ioGlobal team that led the way in the integration of complex mining data streams in the cloud. During her time at IMDEX Michelle has further cemented herself as a thought leader in the development of products that can realise the value from data. Michelle’s track record of taking products from creation to production will be invaluable in strategically guiding the Datarock business over the coming years.
